Hi,
We will soon be moving to Abqaiq compound. We have 2 kids; toddler and an infant. We will be allotted a 3 bedroom house. Can someone please send me the photos of a 3 bedroom house? Also, -what furniture will be included in the house? -is it possible to get a toddler bed and a baby crib from where ever the furniture is ordered? If so, please let me know the sizes of both if possible.
Thanks!

As stated in many previous posts, housing is based on GC and number of children. You can either post your GC here or email me the information and I will send you an example of the housing you will be eligible to be assigned.
The house will be furnished with living room: couch, chair and coffee table, end table Diningroom : table and chairs Bedrooms: beds, bedside table, dressers and or chest of drawers and pillows Kitchen: no small appliances, but will have pans, skillet, plates, flatware, glasses, cups, cereal size bowls. No bakeware, not many cooking utensils and knives. Dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, stove are included in the home. Washer and Dryer should be there and there is a rent charge per month for those. Your first 3 months may be free on them. Furniture is free for the first 3 months or until your shipment arrives if you took that option. The linens and kitchenware are yours to keep.
There will be one set of linens for the beds including sheets and pillow cases and blankets for each bed; bath towels and maybe wash cloths, kitchen towels and maybe dish s. There will be enough of each thing for each member of the family.
There are cribs that you can request. If you let your relocation agent know, they should be able to have one in the house for your arrival. Otherwise you call Furniture Warehouse (their number will be on the phone list in your home on arrival) and ask them to deliver what you need. There are small desks if you need one and one is not in your home.

Furniture warehouse doesn't have toddler beds, but you could put the twin size mattress on the floor for your toddler or bring a bed rail with you. IKEA sells toddler beds, so you can get one very soon after you arrive if needed. You can look at the IKEA Saudi Arabia website to get an idea of what they have and what the prices are, so you can decide if you want to buy one there or not.

Housing is based on GC and number of children if any. Do you have children?

Hi guys
So even though you work in Dhahran, you can be given housing in Abqaiq? Is there not quite a distance between Dhahran and abqaiq? We are GC13 finance and a family of five, is there a chance to end up in abqaiq? thanks!

lucky10,
I'd say there's a better than good chance that you will NOT be housed in Dhahran. Anything is possible, of course, but there is a waiting list of families already here to be moved into DHA.
