I think I probably know the answer to these two questions but I thought I would ask anyway.
In the Uk, we have a very popular cartoon character called Peppa Pig. Clearly recognisable as a pig but equally clearly not intended to be seen as a pig. As is inevitably the case, the kids have ended up with some spin-off products.
1. We have cuddly toys of Peppa and little brother, George. Are we likely to get a lot of hassle bringing them in?
2. If that one is a problem then this one is sure to be. My daughter's carry on bag has a huge picture of Peppa Pig on it. Would bringing this in on arrival be regarded as unnecessarily provocative?
All advice appreciated.

I think the toys would probably not be a problem in carry on luggage & probably not in checked luggage either. But in my opinion, the carry on bag with the pig on it could be a bit much (depending how prominent it is). And while the majority of Saudis would not have a problem with it, there are a significant minority with a significantly less laissez-faire atude than goatlast implies above (again - in my opinion).

My 3yo is an epic Peppa Pig fan. As well as bringing in bags, toys, books, umbrellas etc without issue, she wears PP t-shirts and dresses all over Khobar without a second glance and friends and relatives have sent PP stuff through the post to us.
We too had the same reservations as you, but now I am here and have reflected, there are heaps of cartoon characters of creatures that we find less than desirable: ants, bees, crocodiles etc. It is not something I would worry about.
