Hi All,
I have been invited to an interview for a finance role in London this coming weekend. I have been told that this will be on the basis of a 12 month renewable contract via a company called HAK. Does anyone have any experiences/hints/tips for dealing with them (assuming a successful interview of course!)? I understand from reading posts that there is not the same living arrangements/privelages etc coming into Aramco as a contractor. I don't suppose HAK set you up in any compound and this is something I would need to arrange?
Any words of wisdom will be grateful received

Hi cjm23,
Hope the interview went well .. I have a few queries need help with as I too have an interview later this week for an engineering role... any help will be greatly appreciated..
• was the interview with functional people (ie finance) or general hr people? • wat was the format of the interview? A run through the cv or specific competency questions? • did they tell you how many roles they had and how many people being interviewd
Any advice or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mash21,
Have to say my experience was somewhat disappointing.....interview was scheduled for 4 pm and after arriving in London from Glasgow around noon I got call at 2:30pm asking if I could come along to the venue. As I was close by gins was no problem.....signed in and 'briefed' by 3pm. Then waited until approx 5pm for an interview that lasted approx 5mins! Turns out I was interviewed for a role nog really relevant to my skills and experience despite my CV being short listed!
However was still a useful experience and will continued to try to relocate from UK to the Gulf region.
What I would say is be prepared for plenty time sitting around. Your interview will likely be with someone relevant to the position you have applied for as opposed to HR. You will also meet with the contracting company who are more of an HR perspective. The format of the interview was basically a recap of my experienced to date. Likely will last around 10 mins if they continue in a similar fashion ANC format as Saay. If successful they will make you an offer shortly after your interview.....again be prepared to wait. If the offer isn't to your liking, don't be afraid to negotiate. There were interviews for a range of roles with people coming and going most of the time I was there.
Good Luck!

Hi cjm .. Sorry to hear about your dissapointing experience. I just came across this forum .. i have been offered an interview tomorrow for a finance role working at Aramco through Al Hoty... You say you were interviewed for a role not relevant to your experience .. will you be able to give me a little detail of your experience and role you were interviewed for? As my interview is tomorrow (Wed) any help given in helping me prepare will be gratefully received .. you can email or phone me if you are ok with it .. ( arumel@yahoo.com ... 07737982520) .. Thanks for your help

Hi cjm73,
Sorry to hear about your experience, though I am not surprised at all based on my feedback so far.
I am also lined up for an interview in this week and have to say that service received to date from recruiter is appalling. No role description, no exact date/time of interview, no details.
Thanks for your feedback though, as it may help.
Cheers,

Hi, I had an interview for a finance yst role on Tuesday via Al Hoty for NITI a new training organisation sponsored by Aramco. However, I was successful in getting a position. I have also accepted. Is anyone else in this similar position? My location states Abqaiq. Contact me on Businesskam@yahoo.co.ukAlso will need to find my own accomodation.
