My son lives with the ex, a US Dollar retiree. Son is turning 25 shortly. Dad says no covee under Aramco health covee.
Son has been looking diligently for employment, but right now is dependent financially, unemployed, not married, not in school, and does not have his own covee. How can Aramco ignore US law that requires dependent covee to age 26? I expect I know the usual answer ("because they are not in the US"). But is this accurate? ...especially considering the Health Care Reform Act requiring covee to 26?
I have talked to AON and they confirm this. Thanks for any help.
Under changes within the Affordable Care Act, your son is eligible to continue with your Aramco Medical Insurance (Aetna) until he reaches his 26th birthday, regardless of employment or education status.
