Hi Folks,
Is there anyone getting interviewed in London next month for Project Engineering role(s) in Aramco office in London?
I have been told that Aramco are doing a 'bulk hire' for this department as there are number of CAPEX projects on the go just now but on the aramcoeu website, it only asks for project engineer not engineers.
Does anyone know what is like to work in Projects department? Is it mostly office work or does it involve lot of site work as well. I have operational power plant back ground and I am use to doing every darn thing for my projects.
Thanks

Hi,
Which Interview do you refer to? I just attended one which they say is for Aramco but I eventually confirmed it was for aramco sub-contractor - HAKA. Is this the same interview you are referring?

Hi Kimlabolton, No, I am going for an interview with Aramco and not a contractor. I applied through the aramcoeu website and was surprised to be contacted in 2 weeks by aramco staff in london. How was your interview? were you interviewed for an engineering post?
From this forum, I get an idea that if you are interviewed by aramco you can get a verbal offer next day. I applied for a project engineer (Mechanical) position.
I have 10 years of power generation (project) experience but no actual oil & gas. Were you interviewed for the project management team?
Cheers

There were some interviews scheduled for at the Kensington Hilton Hotel near Holland Park...did anyone go there. I believe they were for various Contractors as well.
Also does anyone know if we can apply in person in Aramco London offices? Desperate for some info apart from applying online.
Thanks very much.

Did you apply for a project engineer role? I have an interview with Aramco team next week in London. Would you please like to share what kind of questions they asked during the interview?
Is everybody on this thread for engineering jobs?

Glaswegian, I was interviewed for a HSE role but was offered a senior construction position , some of the questions were - 1. Please summarise your career starting with your first job 2. Highlight your future career aspirations 3. Would you mind working in remote locations 4. Elaborate on recent projects you have been involved in 5. Elaborate on your management experience The interviewer aslo spent quite alot of the interview explaining the projects I would be working on and what work is over the horizon. Hope this helps

Spudlike,
Many thanks for your detailed reply. I have almost 10 years of experience in generation sector. Can I ask how many years do you have under your belt?
Thanks

1London,
Sorry I didn't receive your psotings until now. I am not sure I am yet confident with this website and alerts:-)
Yes the interview went alright. Easier than I thought and just general questions were asked like:
Tell us about your job in the past five years What are the key things to know about commissioning What is the International Building Code called? Describe how you would carry out cooling load design of a room Tell us about ur construction experience.
I was interviewed as an engineer and got a letter of offer as engineer III. I am yet to know the details of this role as well and hopefully vpainter would help get some contact on someone already doing similar role.
Its a bit of anxiety and indecision as well for me when I realised I am going to be working for a contractor and not a direct hire but I think I'm ready to give it a shut as I am kin to spend the next few stage of my career in the middle east, so this hopefuly will be the one that will open the doors.
Hope these helps and how did your interview go too?

Hi Glaswegian,
I see from your other post that you have accepted the offer. Congratulations! When were you interviewed and how long did your interview last. Also when were you made the offer. I was also interviewed for project engineer post on 10 Sep but haven't heard anything back from them. Just getting anxious now.

Hi Glaswegian,
Thanks for your reply. My interview went fine . They asked about my past experience and some project related question. Overall it lasted just little over half an hour. But unlike you I wasn't told of any offers on the way though I was given all the forms to fill in during my orientation. I guess that might be a standard practice. Well I will wait for another week and nothing turns up in my inbox then I shall start applying for other positions.
