After you receive your passports make sure you check the government e-visa website to check they are valid.
I received my families 4 passports back last week and was told everything was complete. Checked in SAP and yes visas were 'issued' for all 4.
Went on the e-visa website and my wifes visa details were of her old visa. Visited the passport office and they confirmed that she had not been issued a visa and I will have to resubmit her passport!!

Just "a word to the wise" as they say - even though the announcement said that paper visas are no longer required, I just came across the causeway and both the Saudi and Bahraini immigration control officers wanted to see the paper visa.

TIP: When you pick up your passports from the office at AlMidra, be sure to check that they are the right ones. We went to get ours and found out my passport had been bundled with another family's. Apparently I was now married to a man from another country, with two kids definitely not my own! Funny thing was, we had to argue with the agent a bit to insist there were two families' passports mixed up, and no, the man standing before her, my husband, was definitely not the man in the passport.
