As far as I can tell, the scheduling of your vacation is one of the biggest issues for expats as it can be very difficult to get the exact dates you want. And it is certainly not like we are used to in the UK where you can chop up your vacation enlement into whatever durations you fancy, ie one week, 2 weeks etc.

Hi....I am also a single female moving to KSA at the end of November. I am concerned about the housing because I have been reading several posts about the lack of housing in DH. My offer letter and my relocation advisor have both confirmed to me that I will be placed in DH. I have been told that single females are always provided housing in DH. Does anyone know something about it?

Single ladies are in all the Aramco compounds except Rakkah. They usually are housed in the compound where they work.

According to company policy, single females should always be housed in the 11+ family camp closest to their place of work. Now, all housing is on an "as available" basis but I have not yet heard of single female employees working in Dhahran, being housed anywhere other than in the Dhahran family camp.
