Hi Fred
I am also a South African going to work for Saudi Aramco. I am also waiting for my visa. What is your timeline like? I am told that the visa block for South Africans have not yet been issued. I received an offer on 28 May 2013, and still have not received any positive feedback about a visa....
Has yours in anyway been delayed? Do you have a timeline?

We are very interested to see whether there are any fellow South Africans in the hiring process as well as recruited and moved already with an idea of their timelines. Would really keep us motivated with this excruciating waiting process.

Hi Guys
Have you guys gotten your visa's yet? I've had a delay with my visa application since my agent was sending information to the incorrect email address.
But all sorted now and hopefully me visa application will go in soon.
Are any of you going to Yanbu?
Cheers

Hi
I have recently (less than a week ago) accepted a job offer at Aramco Trading. It's good to know what my fellow countrymen have experienced so that I can be 'prepared'.
My question is around the "full medical". - Not sure what you guys got but it seems a shopping list of tests to go through which I may add is probably going to cost a penny (to be reimbursed later), yet I'm probably obliged to take all of them. What was you experience in ZA in terms of the full medical and the list of tests to be done?
All the best with your respective visas.
Cheers.

I did all the medical test required, as set out in the requirements from Aramco. It did cost quite a bit for my own pocket. I had it done at the Ampath at my local Medi-Clinic. The results sent to my GP and he completed the report.
I recall reading somewhere that the test results will be valid for a certain period only. If the visa is not issued by then, I hope I will not have to go and do it all over again!

 Hi All
Last week my agent asks me to send all my original documentation, like medical and passport, to them. They will send it in and get the passport stamped. I also did my medical at Ampath. It follows the same route though my GP. Flaked1, I am in Bethal, Mpumalanga and I am with Prime Time.

Hi All
I am in Cape Town, my agent is Unwabu, they are in Durban. I received an e-mail from the HR person at HAK Group. They have expressed their "deepest regrets" for the delay in the issue of the visa. They also say that they are in the final stages of getting the new block visas. They are hoping to get us mobalised (whether that means getting the visa, or being there) by middle October.

Thank you for all the replies. My BI and medicals were completed about 3-4 weeks ago and now waiting on the visa (wondering if delays have anything to do with --> www.arabnews.com/news/468450 ) . Do any Saffers here (or do you know of any) working for Aramco Trading? Thanks.

Where do you have your qualifications attested? Apparently the Saudi Embassy in ZA isn't doing that any longer. :?

Flash : Is your degree done via Online / Distance Education mode ? In India I have heard the Saudi Embassy does not attest degrees done via Online / Distance Education mode.
